The limitations of lactate threshold tests

Lactate threshold tests may not be very useful for tracking improvements in athletic performance. The tests provide a snapshot of your physiological state on the day you took the test, but they are not reliable for long-term tracking. Additionally, the variability of the test results and the factors that affect lactate levels make it difficult to reproduce accurate measurements. Factors such as glycogen levels in the muscles can influence the test results.
