How AI Is Built

NOTE

Native Cloud Services vs Third-Party Tools

When working with specific cloud service providers like AWS, using their native services, such as AWS Step Functions and AWS Glue, can outperform third-party tools. For example, AWS Step Functions have shown to be effective for orchestrating lambda functions by simplifying workflow creation. Similarly, AWS Glue, which initially was not recommended due to costs, has evolved into a serverless tool with scalability and GUI features, making it more efficient for building pipelines. However, the downside of relying on native cloud services is the potential for vendor lock-in. In a multi-cloud environment, it might be preferable to use SaaS offerings like Apache Airflow or tools offered by companies like Astronomer and AirBite.
