Balancing governance in data access and responsibility
The expansion of access and responsibility raises questions about the impact on the practical and principal elements of data governance. It is important to consider where the governance enforcement needs to reside, whether in the CDP environment or as policy enforced externally. Ownership of data definitions and their location is a crucial consideration, with enterprise-wide definitions recommended to be housed outside the CDP, while more specific CDP-related definitions can remain within the CDP for increased agility.
