Differentiating Between Authority and Service-to-Others Relationships

Authority only implies a base obligation relationship. Teacher-student, coach-athlete, boss-employee, and therapist-client are examples of mutually agreed service to others relationships without authority. In service to others relationships, both parties benefit through giving and receiving.
