Perception vs Perspective
Perception is our own interpretation of the world, unique to each individual, and often leads to arguments and trying to convince others. The key to winning arguments and getting ahead in our careers is shifting from perception to perspective. Perspective is observing the world from outside of ourselves, putting ourselves in the shoes of others and understanding their experiences and feelings. By doing so, we gain an informational advantage and superior positioning compared to those trapped in their own perception. This shift can lead to career advancement.
