Moonshots Podcast: Superstar mindsets and success habits

NOTE

The Mismatch of Busyness with the Human Brain

Having too much on our plate or feeling overwhelmed with excessive tasks leads to short-circuiting a cognitive drive in the human brain. Fast productivity, focusing on completing numerous tasks in days and weeks, can contribute to stress and anxiety. Slow productivity, on the other hand, shifts the focus to achieving meaningful tasks over years, allowing for breaks, rhythm, and sustained energy. This approach is more compatible with the human brain, promoting fulfillment and higher-value output. The current work allocation system is deemed incompatible with slow productivity as individuals are overwhelmed with excessive work. An overhaul in work organization is necessary to align with the principles of slow productivity, emphasizing quality over quantity and reducing stress caused by the mismatch of busyness with the human brain.
