NOTE

The Perspective of Human Beings and the Reality of the World

Our perspective is tied to our sense organs, but in dreams, the perspective of dream characters is based on our sensory abilities. Despite the universe appearing as mere appearances, the world and the environment do matter. The world is real, but its reality lies in consciousness, not matter. The universe is undeniably real, although it may be an illusion in that it is not what it appears to be. Therefore, the world is not insubstantial; it is absolutely real and our actions within it matter.
