Anti-Zionism is Anti-Semitism
Intelligence Squared
The Definition of Zionism and Anti-Semitism
Zionism is the self-determination of the Jewish people in Israel, while anti-Semitism is a delusional hatred towards Jews. Anti-Semitism uniquely accuses Jews based on lies, holds them to extreme standards, and portrays them as a global malign force. Anti-Zionism possesses the same characteristics, demonizing and delegitimizing Israel for its destruction. Criticism of Israel's policies is acceptable, but anti-Zionism goes beyond, spreading false claims like Israel being an apartheid state and engaging in ethnic cleansing, which do not align with the facts.
