The early United States was founded as a Judeo-Christian country, with the settlers possessing the Bible and the covenants of the Lord. This background enabled them to understand how God works with his people, which in turn led to their prosperity. The presence of the Judeo-Christian background and adherence to it meant that the land would be blessed, as God keeps his promises to his people. Worshiping Christ was seen as essential for receiving blessings, serving as both a condition and a warning for the people.
