IVF and the Church's Teaching

IVF involves creating human embryos outside the mother's body, which goes against the Church's teachings as it disrupts the natural formation of life through the marital act. The Church views IVF as sinful primarily due to the destruction of human embryos and the interference with the natural order of human life creation. Although not an infallible teaching, the Church requires religious submission of mind and will regarding its stance against IVF, which has been consistently and clearly taught since the technology's emergence in the 1970s.
