There is concern about a return to implicit tribalism based on factors like religious identity, skin color, or linguistic identity./nWithout a higher order principle that unites people psychologically or socially, they become disunited and prone to anxiety, confusion, aimlessness, and conflict./nThe question is whether there is a valid transcendent principle that can unify people without being viewed as arbitrary power and domination./nWestern society holds an idea that is a combination of Greek and Judeo-Christian influences and plays a fundamental role in its values.
