NOTE

Why Are Polar Bears So Huge?

Polar bears need sea ice as a hunting platform to hunt for ring seals, which are the most numerous seal in the world. So they have to be able to survive a few months without food when the sea ice breaks up. Also, youve may be seen footed in documentaries where theyn they'll pound the ice and break through the ice to break into a seal lair. They've got to be pretty hefty to do that, that's right. Ye. i was asking about grizzly bears as well, matter how small grizzly bears seem compared to polar bears. I'd say it make more sense that to sustain a larger body requiring more calories would be better suited to the environment
