There's a looming surprise in either bonds or stocks that many people fail to understand. In a non-inflationary environment, we only consider real growth after inflation. However, in an inflationary environment, we must also account for nominal GDP which is growing at a high rate. If inflation drops and real growth remains strong, it could create economic strain and lead to high core inflation. The Fed is not done and there will be more to come.
