Challenges in Semiconductor Manufacturing for China and the United States

Both China and the United States have recognized semiconductors as vital for national security and geopolitical standing. China, despite significant investments, struggles to catch up with companies like TSMC due to a lack of technological advancement compared to Taiwan, American, Japanese, and Korean firms. On the other hand, the United States faces the challenge of revitalizing its chip industry, as Silicon Valley no longer produces much silicon, with more manufacturing taking place in Arizona. The Biden administration's approach to this issue is yet to be determined.
