NOTE

Bravery and Strategy in Warfare

Enver Pasha displayed remarkable bravery and leadership by going undercover to fight the Italians, inspiring men to follow him even knowing they might die. Despite criticisms, Enver was a patriot and believer in the Ottoman Empire. The conflict in Italy, though officially lost by the Ottomans early on, was sustained by volunteers using guerrilla tactics, including mobilizing Libyan tribes. This war marked the first use of airplanes and a strategic attempt to use jihad to rally Muslim believers against European invaders.
