Continuous Evolution of Blockchain Networks

Blockchain networks are continually evolving to take advantage of increasing bandwidth and parallel processing, allowing them to automatically adapt to changes in network capacity. The newer blockchains are focused on increasing throughput and computation, with slight variations in how they achieve parallel processing and consensus. However, these improvements are not as significant as the 100x performance increase seen when transitioning from Ethereum to Solana. The networks are characterized by incremental optimizations rather than massive leaps in fundamental network superiority.
