The Value of Failure
Fame, wealth, and power can separate individuals from their humanity. The later in life success comes, the better because individuals are more fully formed before facing such temptations. Early success can be traumatic, as people stop telling the truth and start telling them what they want to hear. There is a constant temptation to make money the focus of one's life, but success should be pursued separately from serving money. It is important to recognize that success is not entirely within one's control and that there is an unseen hand guiding individuals through life. It is beneficial to hang onto success loosely and acknowledge that it is not entirely one's own doing. Failure should be embraced as failure shapes who we are and entrepreneurs have a willingness to face the humiliation of failure. Failures have value and make individuals understand the true value of money.
