Capture, curate, cultivate, connect, and create. These are the steps in divergent thinking. First, capture all the dots, then curate the valuable ones. Next, cultivate them by bouncing them around and asking questions. Then connect them to other ideas using bidirectional linking. Finally, convergent thinking leads to creation. AI can't replace this process, but it may change how it's done.
