In the 20th century, original music was highly valued. However, despite the audience's polite response, they never wanted to hear it again. In the 1930s, Stikovsky conducted a modern piece and only a few people clapped. He jokingly said they loved it and they would play it again. Original music has faced challenges in gaining popularity.
