Our brains function as prediction devices, seeking out rewards in environments. Children are even more susceptible to this due to their less evolved prefrontal cortex. If a child consistently engages with technology in a certain environment, their brain will be wired to prioritize it. To reintroduce other activities, one must create environments where technology is not available. By enforcing tech-free periods, such as technology-free weekends or time blocks, the brain relaxes from constant stimulation and diversifies activities, leading to a more balanced lifestyle.
