Expanding the definition of spending money

People often see wealth as the ultimate goal, but they fail to realize that the purpose of money is not just to accumulate it. Money is a tool, like hammers and saws, which are meant to be used to build something. Just as having a collection of hammers and saws without building anything is a waste, accumulating money without using it to create a fulfilling life is also a waste. Money should be spent to build a fulfilling life, not to become the sole focus and sacrifice one's life in the process.
