When we consume information, we are often consuming the abstraction. These diagrams are the abstraction. They are the salient points, but they are one person's idea of what the salient points are./nConsuming other people's abstractions as the illusion of knowledge is a problem. We are often assuming their knowledge and putting it into practice, but when they don't work, we don't know why./nTo be able to consume information effectively, we need to get as close to the person who had the original experience or created the abstraction.
