Debunking the Left Brain vs. Right Brain Myth
The popular idea that math is on one side of the brain and the whole left-right brain concept has been mostly debunked. Both sides of the brain work together and are highly connected. The hypothesis that the left side is logical and the right side is creative has been refuted by medicine. An evaluation of the left brain versus right brain hypothesis with resting state functional connectivity MRI found no evidence to support the concept that people predominantly use one side of the brain. The study concluded that there is no preference for using a specific side of the brain.
