Understanding Human Impact on the Environment
Historically, human beings have always had a harsh impact on the environment. Contrary to the belief that humans once lived in harmony with nature, evidence suggests that they have always been tough on the environment. The difference lies in the materials we use today that do not biodegrade, causing longer-lasting damage. Additionally, historically, nomadic lifestyles allowed for land to recover after being exploited, unlike today where settlements cause continuous environmental damage.
