As we approach groundbreaking technological advancements, such as chat GPT, there is a lot of hype and hysteria surrounding it. However, the constant amplification of the topic may be distorting its actual significance. While I have never used chat GPT myself, I can't help but wonder if it's truly as revolutionary as it's made out to be. Similar concerns were raised when computers were predicted to beat humans at chess, but it didn't deter people from playing the game. Instead, the computer's capabilities became part of the chess-playing experience. As a bystander, the most frightening aspect for me is the idea of chat GPT triggering catastrophic events like nuclear warfare, a notion that is not unfamiliar to us from dystopian stories and horror movies.
