Understanding the Urgency of Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The increasing concentration of greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide and methane, in the atmosphere has resulted in a significant impact on the Earth's climate. The planet has already warmed by more than one degree Celsius, leading to widespread and destructive consequences globally. To mitigate the effects, the world must commit to reducing greenhouse gas pollution by more than 7% each year throughout this decade.
