NOTE

Fertile Window and Safe Periods for Pregnancy

The fertile window for conception is about five to seven days, with the most fertile period being five to six days before ovulation and within 24 hours after ovulation. After 24 hours post-ovulation, the risk of pregnancy decreases. Generally, the first week of the menstrual cycle is considered safe, but individual variations in cycle length can affect fertility. As a general rule, the first seven days after ovulation are reasonably safe, and after 24 hours elapsed post-ovulation, the period of safety extends to nearly two weeks.
