NOTE

Engage with Stories for Empathy and Growth

Stories have the power to evoke empathy and compassion by allowing individuals to immerse themselves in the experiences of characters. By engaging with the Bible as a narrative, one can find intellectual truth and emotional healing within its pages. Just like one wouldn't show isolated scenes from a favorite movie to a friend, but rather the whole film to create emotional investment, similarly, approaching the Bible by consuming larger chunks of its text helps to understand the context and themes. Reading a novel or consistently interacting with the Bible over a long period cultivates empathy and compassion. Research suggests that reading the Bible four times a week or more can significantly impact mental health and spiritual growth, underscoring the importance of regular engagement with its stories for personal development.
