Chef David Chang once suggested a vegetarian diner try another restaurant, as his had few vegetarian options. This decision made his Momofuku empire what it is today. Chang's story shows that in the era of the internet, it's better to target a valuable niche audience than try to appeal to everyone. Building something for everyone risks wasting time on negative feedback from those for whom it was never intended. Instead, focus on making something valuable to a specific group and ask if they could live without it. That's what we should make.
