Pacing and Perceptions in Pursuing Goals

The urgency with which we pursue our goals is influenced by our perception of the distance to the finish line. When the goal seems far away, we pace ourselves steadily like running a marathon. However, when the goal is perceived as close, we sprint towards it with full speed like running a 100-yard dash. Winning in life is not about having more vision but about having depth perception. Lack of depth perception leads to pacing oneself like in a marathon even when the goal is closer, causing individuals to jog through life rather than sprint towards success.
