The Neglected Emotion: Angry People and Therapy
Anger is often overlooked in therapy as people with anger issues are less likely to seek help and may have a sense of righteousness about their emotions. Angry individuals are generally resistant to seeking help and are often found in institutions such as prisons, schools, and the military. Modern self-help and self-improvement communities tend to neglect discussions about anger, leading people to focus on the wrong areas and neglect the deep wounds within themselves. This emotional blind spot poses the biggest opportunity for transforming one's character, as anger is often the most neglected part of our personality.
