Understanding Antisocial Behavior in DSM-5
In the DSM-5, antisocial behavior is defined by being 18 years or older, having had conduct disorder before age 15, absence of schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, and a long-standing pattern of disrespecting and violating the rights of others since age 15. Along with criminal manifestations, there must be three or more specific behavioral traits like failure to conform to laws, demonstrating violent tendencies, and planning to harm animals or people, as observed in the early life of the individual.
