Leadership in the Eighties and Nineties
During the eighties and nineties, we saw this rise of selfishness. Goals became shorter and shorter term. We started to use people's livelihoods to balance the books. This young gene on that was born in those years watched their parents lose their jobs through no fault of their own. And so they grew up bing very, very cynical of leadership in business. Rightfully so, i would add.
