The Consequences of a Mental Break

The world is not a battle between the US and a subordinated authoritarian empire, nor is it a campus epic of a third world defeating America. Instead, it is a competition for spheres of influence, reminiscent of the 19th century. The fear is that without technological advancements, conflict may be inevitable. The life we are fed is filled with tokens of annihilation, political and natural, but also salvation through technology. It's important to accept both as products of a social psyche going through a mental break. The future will look different, but it will be a continuous process of smaller breaks assimilated into a new normal, with us being suspended between these two poles.
