In building HeyGen, the aim was to address businesses' need for quality, control, and consistency in video creation. Two key technical approaches were considered: the first being generating the entire video in one go, while the second focused on assembling the video from different components like A-roll and B-roll. HeyGen opted for the latter approach as it believed it could better achieve the desired quality, control, and consistency by addressing each component individually and then assembling them using an orchestration engine. This method allowed them to handle crucial elements like logos and fonts separately to ensure the desired outcome.
