Hezbollah's Veto Power in Lebanese Cabinet

Hezbollah and its ally Amal now hold six out of 18 ministerial positions in the Lebanese cabinet, granting them veto power over any decision as only three quarters majority is required. This allows Hezbollah to effectively govern Lebanon either directly or indirectly by participating in the government or by vetoing cabinet decisions, maintaining their hold on the country for the past 15 years.
