NOTE

The Pursuit of People Performance

Percentage scores can be misleading because a low score on a difficult test may be more impressive than a high score on an easy test. It would be better to transform percentages to a standardized scale. Reading ages have been used as a way to standardize scores, and we have applied the same concept to writing with the introduction of a writing age. This allows for a more intuitive understanding of performance. Although I am not a fan of grading, if it is necessary, I prefer letter grades and having a larger range of options, around eight or nine grades.
