Intuitive v.s. Reflective Beliefs

Intuitive beliefs are formed through perception, guiding behavior based on what is perceived. Reflective beliefs, on the other hand, can be held strongly but often do not translate into corresponding behaviors. Reflective beliefs like conspiracy theories do not provoke the expected strong emotional and behavioral reactions compared to intuitive beliefs based on firsthand evidence, resulting in a significant disparity in responses.
