The stereotype of lazy millennials or gen Z is unfounded; in reality, younger generations are socially conscious and hardworking. The challenges they face include expensive housing, education, and higher taxes. Baby boomers benefited from economic prosperity but have created an exclusionary society where relief goes to older wealthy individuals. This rejectionist society is evident in various aspects, from education to housing, limiting opportunities for the younger generation.

Scott Galloway is a clinical professor of marketing at the New York University Stern School of Business, a public speaker, entrepreneur and an author.
