The second payment step guarantees money for screenwriters, especially those working close to minimums. It's a win after a decade of trying for weekly pay. The success based streaming residual is a major gain, even though it's not a lot of money initially. We created the framework and will expand it in subsequent negotiations. The transparency issue has been addressed, which is a long overdue win for the guild.
