Paul Saladino MD podcast

NOTE

Reframing the narrative around blood sugar spikes

The conventional belief that blood sugar spikes above a certain level are harmful is being questioned. The idea of a blood sugar spike being harmful is arbitrary and lacking evidence, as blood sugar levels of 120, 130, or even 140 are considered normal physiology for humans and not problematic. There is no evidence to support the activation of polyol pathway or creation of fructose within a cell at these levels of blood sugar.
