Having patience means trusting in oneself and the process, filling the space between plans and expectations with trust and power. It is a form of resistance, a rebellion against discouragement and frustration, requiring faith and confidence. Patience is not about waiting passively but about knowing, about endorsing oneself and believing in one's potential. It is a nod to oneself that what one is doing does not need to be rushed. Patience is self-faith, recognizing that the path requires more than speed; it requires trust in the direction chosen. Research shows that patient individuals enjoy better mental health, experiencing less depression and negative emotions, being more mindful, grateful, and connected. Different types of patience include interpersonal patience, patience towards life's annoyances, and inner patience in the face of hardships, all leading to increased happiness and well-being. Cultivating patience is crucial as it is not about passivity, but about betting on oneself and having faith in the journey.
In this episode, I talk about the two keys to a happy life - faith and patience. I talk about why patience isn't about waiting, it's about knowing.
