Spending as little time as possible with candidates you're not going to hire allows more time to be spent with candidates you are interested in. Setting up 15-minute first-time conversations with each candidate helps determine if there is a chemical pull right from the start. If there is a positive connection, extend the conversation by having the candidate ask questions in the next 15 minutes. This initiates the sales process by addressing concerns and providing answers. By keeping the initial interview short, there is ample time to spend with the candidate in the rest of the interview process.
