The speaker was fascinated by the play on words in the title 'Ring Around the Rosie' and wanted a corresponding melody/nThe melody was based on a nursery rhyme and cello chords outlining the progression of A flat minor, D flat minor, E major, B major, B, F sharp over B flat/nInitially, the chords sounded like Kumbaya, but the speaker drew inspiration from Daft Punk's 'Lose Yourself to Dance' and started the song with a similar all-through-the-night vibe
