The term 'second brain' is associated with specific educational frameworks and can seem overly broad, incorporating diverse strategies like GTD and the PARA method, as well as encouraging data hoarding practices through tools like Evernote. There can be a misconception that creating a second brain simply serves as a redundant support system for the first brain; however, they should be viewed as entirely distinct entities. The analogy of comparing human cognition to software can lend an amusing but limiting perspective on the capabilities and functions of these digital tools.
