The Difference Between Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation

In the nineteen seventies, researches from stanford recruited children. They were aged about three to four years old. And some of these kids were told they would get a reward and others weren't. Now here's the thing, the children with no reward spent seventeen per cent of their time drawing. But the children who expected a reward only spent eight per cent oftheir time drawing. In other words, the extrinsic reward had literally arved their motivation. So you can back out of this into intrinsic motivation, into extrinsic motivation.
