Isant 11 Hotel?

The speaker initially aimed to join the Ranger Regiment through an 11X Ray Option Forty contract during infantry basic training but ended up being assigned as an 11 Hotel, which involved driving and operating heavy weapons in a Humvee. Despite initially feeling disappointed for not getting the Ranger slot, the speaker managed to get their MOS changed to 11 Bravo after contacting their uncle who was a Sergeant Major in the infantry. As a result, the speaker was sent to The Old Guard, the Third Infantry Regiment, and eventually got a chance to apply for the Ranger Regiment through a special assignment.
