Splitting IT for Value Creation

The big rift in IT is not between business and IT, but within IT itself, with a major part dedicated to maintaining infrastructure and a smaller part focused on creating value. The suggestion is to separate IT into operations under the COO and value-producing under the CDO or CFO organization. This would address the significant budget allocation towards maintaining IT infrastructure and servers, allowing for a more distinct focus on creating value for the business.
