Just keep your mouth shut

As kids, we were told to be seen and not heard. But as an adult, I sometimes have to remind myself that I deserve to be heard. I wonder what drives relationships when there isn't a strong sense of connection. I'm still exploring the idea of not having a primary manager. It makes me think about the continuum of meeting attachment and relational needs versus integrity needs. Sometimes our parts polarize, with one part needing boundaries and protection.
