Development of Liraglutide: A Breakthrough in GLP-1 Analog

A scientist develops a molecule called lira glutide by tweaking the GLP one molecule. By grafting a fatty acid onto the molecule, lira glutide can resist degradation and have a longer half-life in the human body. The fatty acid allows the molecule to bind with a protein called albumin, protecting it from enzymes and kidney clearance. This breakthrough satisfies management's ultimatum and the molecule is now protected like a big truck on a small highway.
